Rowan 2024 - 2025

Mrs Garcia- Herrero

Welcome to Rowan class.

Rowan class follows preformal curriculum, which is based on pupil centred and exploratory aproach to learning. We aim to encourage our pupils to learn as independently and actively as possible while developing their curiosity, discovery and initiation skills. We also integrate multisensory activities to make it as interesting and engaging as possible. Some examples of the activities that we will be doing are sensory stories, musical interaction, drama, soft play, tactile exploration, story massage, anticipation games and cause and effect activities.

This half term our theme is 'Belonging' and we are exploring what it means to be part of our class, our school and the greater community. In order to explore this theme we are sharing our lunch with a few other classes in the main hall as well as trying to access the community once a week.

We will try to get out into the community every Tuesday and as the weather is changing and becoming wetter and colder could you please send your child with appropriate outdoor clothes. If it is too rainy or cold we will do an alternative activity in class.

Thank you and Welcome to Rowan Class
